So many people go through life without the slightest consideration of countless opportunities available to them. It seems as though being responsible by getting an education, a job, and other features of life should be enough to create happiness. For some, that is true. There is an inner peace that is present in whatever they do. They are grateful, compassionate, and confidant. There is no questioning as to what more there could be.
Unfortunately, that is not the reality for everyone. It has become so common to know people who are discouraged, depressed, or disconnected from the course of their lives. They got their education. They have a job. So what’s the problem? Quite often, they haven’t consciously cultivated a life that is “meaningful” for them.
The state often continues for so long that they feel hopelessly stuck. The turning point comes with an invitation to consider: What story has been created up to this stage? As well as what story can be created for the future? It requires some introspection that can induce change in perspective and/or change in patterns of behavior. The process brings about clarity and serves as a guide to growth. With this awareness, a vision of hope is revealed.
